If the weather isn’t too bad, then take a quick stroll - Turn right out of the shell museum and wander down to the picturesque ford on a mill stream. This incredible historic building enjoyed a colossal renovation in 2018 and is home to a state-of-the-art theatre/cinema, Heritage Centre, Visitor Information Centre, excellent food and drink, a modern art gallery and a series of community spaces. It offers a range of events and activities, including cinema screenings, live music, open mic nights and art exhibitions. 3. Best rainy-day activity for the whole family - The Muckleburgh Collection

Located in Weybourne this military museum features a vast collection of vehicles, weapons, and uniforms all collected by one family since the 1950s. Even if this is not your thing it’s worth a visit if only for a fun run out over the private bumpy landscape in a military lorry ride or a private booking to drive a tank. 4. Best rainy-day destination with Kids - The Sea Life Sanctuary, Hunstanton.

If it’s raining outside why not take a dip under the sea! Take a drive along the North Norfolk coastline to The Sea Life Sanctuary in the town of Hunstanton. The sanctuary is home to a variety of marine life, including seals, turtles, penguins, and sharks, and visitors can learn about their habitats and behaviours. Popular highlights are the Seal Rescue Centre, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured or abandoned seals. Alternatively attend talks and demonstrations about marine life, and enjoy the interactive rock pool experience, where you can touch and learn about different creatures. 5. Best local Historic house - Holkham Hall

Holkham Hall, Norfolk is a magnificent country house that is open to the public. It's located just a few miles from Wells-next-the-Sea and offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of the area. The house is home to a variety of art, furniture, and artefacts, and there are guided tours available.
