Our commitment to you

The Normans is always given a thorough clean as part of the changeover between bookings. However, as part of COVID-19 guidelines from the Department of Health, we have conducted a risk assessment and taking extra precautions to keep our clients and housekeeping team as safe as possible.

As an additional measure, we have extended the changeover period which allows for the additional cleaning requirements to be carried out, as well as minimising the contact between different guests. The arrival and departure times reflect this. To assist with cleaning, some items may have been removed from the property including soft furnishings, bed spreads and some cushions, ornaments, books and literature.

Before you travel

Please bring basic food provisions such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper with you as it is not possible to leave open foods at the property. We have supplied cleaning products, hand sanitiser and antibacterial hand wash for your use during your stay.

Your commitment to us

We request that you assist the housekeeper by stripping and bagging any used bedding, towels and other laundry items in the laundry/black bags provided at the property, with as little shaking of the items as possible.

Please, do not travel if you, or any of your party are showing symptoms of Coronavirus, or have been in contact with someone suffering from Coronavirus within 7 days of travel.

If you are currently staying or have recently returned home from The Normans and you display symptoms of Coronavirus and a test confirms infection, you are obligated to let us know immediately so that we can deep clean the property and advise the owner, housekeeper and make appropriate arrangements with the incoming guests. We would also request that you return home immediately to self-isolate along with other members of your party.

In the event of Lockdown

Whilst we are in uncertain times, we want you to feel confident that in the event of a lockdown that affects the dates of your stay we would offer the following options:

  • Refund of your deposit

  • Refund of your balance if your stay is cancelled

  • Part refund if a lockdown happens during your stay and guidelines insist you leave the Normans.

  • Option to hold on to your deposit and shift your stay to another date

  • Accommodate you as a group of six if this guideline is implemented at a 25% discounted price
